So the Daily Show has a segment on the Mumbai bombings which supposedly shows a reporter based in India. But I think the background image will be more familiar to Iranians as the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan (which is a masterpiece of tilework -- literally breathtaking.)
I of course like the Daily Show. Can't blame them for confusing Iran with India, or not caring. After all, it is a comedy show. And, lets face it, the Average viewer isn't going to know the difference anyway. The fact is that most Americans get their news from late night TV shows, and amongst them, the best informed turn out to be viewers of the Daily Show.
Ironic, eh?
No wonder there is an effort by Muslims in the US to become comedians.
wars, terrorism, etc. Its all just a joke. A big joke.
The most brilliant masterpieces of India's historical architecture are all creations of Iranian architects and craftsmen anyway, so what's the big deal? Speaking of which, I'm surprised they didn't use the Taj Mahal for the background.
