Just of the sake of posterity, I am attaching the text of Iranian Ambassador Javad Zarif's statement to the UN Security Council in December 2006, which shows that Iran had repeatedly offered a way out of the nuclear standoff that would have addressed any REAL concerns about nuclear weapons proliferation, by operating IRan's nuclear program as multinational joint ventures. These offers by Iran were totally ignored but the whole crisis now in the media could have been resolved YEARS ago. Note in particular this section excerpted below (click to enlarge)
