Thanks for your commentary and insight from your perspective. I am thankful for the internet.

From my perspective, I am relieved that Obama has made an attempt to inject something constructive into the region, converse to some of the destructive things the US government has done there in the past. I hope that his speech would help mark a positive turning point in the West's relationship with the Mideast. I agree with you, though, that a speech alone is not enough.
