So the Neocons have wasted little time in putting their own spin on the Iranian election mess. Ari Fleischer, former White House spokesman under Bush and current head of the Iran-bashing Freedom Watch, has declared that "Bush's tough policies have helped give rise to the reformists and I think we're witnessing that today."
I suppose we'll see more of the neocons claiming that the election results are proof that the US should not engage Iran.
Ironically, had Mousavi been elected president, the same people would have again argued that the US should not engage Iran since obviously the election of a "reformist" is proof that hardline policies were bearing fruit and so there should be no policy change.
Incidentally I find it funny how the labels are being tossed around -- Mousavi is a "reformist" whilst Ahmadinejad had the balls to name and shame corruption at the highest levels of government is .... what?
Oh my goodness what are all the "badjis" and household slaves and low paid garden workers up to? Don't tell me the rich Iranians are so reformist that now they are going to pay their slaves a decent wage? Or give to charity and help the poor of Iran instead of moving to Europe or America and prancing around in desinger jenes? OMG don't tell me they are tired of old fashioned religious leaders? Well welcome to America where you can get beat to death by cops by just speaking up....or raped in jail cause they like it. Welcome \to being spied on by Bush and all the other horrors of American life. They said the Shah had golden toilets and now his poor son is sobbing about the affairs of Iran. And his mother is prancing around in Prada supporting young film directors, etc. Why not start a charity, give to the poor Iranians and quit yelling on your cell phones or Twitter?

I missed this post of yours.
"... whilst Ahmadinejad had the balls to name and shame corruption at the highest levels ..."
Well, if Ahmadinejad had the balls, he would have named and shamed corruption during the four years of his presidency. If you think that he is not corrupt, you need to educate yourself on how only one of his ministers collected $300 million and the minister himself takes pride in it.
