The Council on Foreign Relations has set up an invitation-only "forum" for the "experts" to discuss Iran nuclear issues. Gary Samore has set the agenda for the "forum" by raising the old "Iran is seeking breakout capability" red herring, and has invited other experts to discuss things.
Now, after 8 years of watching the digusting mess in Iraq, it should be clear that 99% of the "experts" are in fact professional propagandists and mouthpieces pushing an agenda.
Secondly, note that they steadfastly refuse to publicly acknowledge their concern regarding Iran's nuclear program - which is really about controlling and monopolizing nuclear fuel technology, and not really about nuclear weapons proliferation (which is nothing more than a convenient pretext)
For the last 30 years, there has been an intense, raging international diplomatic conflict between the few nuclear nations that are trying to monopolize nuclear fuel production under the pretext of fighing weapons proliferation, versus the developing nations that have been resisting such efforsts. However, you would never know such a conflict exists by reading only these sorts of fake "debates" and "forums" by the so-called "experts" since their job is not to inform but to propagandize. This latest CFR forum is just another example of how they perpetuate the favored framing of issues.
Very correct Cyrus, as usual. The so called experts are well-paid propagandists fabricating and spreading their lies so that the monopoly of nuclear technology remains in the hands of a few. In the next few decades when the nuclear fuel becomes the most attractive energy resource, you will see the "club members" charging rest of the countries of plant earth, exuberant fees for their technology. If Iran does not learn the technology now, be rest assured it has to pay the club members handsomely for the future fuel supply. The most wise advice:learn the technology and then sit at the negotiation table so that you cannot be blackmailed.
