Peter Tatchell of the Guardian reports on what he calls an "extraordinary shift" by Ahamadinejad over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict:
The Iranian president has said he would accept a two-state solution if the Palestinians agree...Since most Palestinians are willing to accept a two-state solution, the Iranian president is, in effect, agreeing to Israel's right to exist and opening the door to a peace deal that Iran will endorse.
However, in fact there has been no "extraordinary shift" and basically this has been the position of the Iranians all along: they'll agree to whatever the Palestinians themselves agree to. Khatami said that Iran would agree to whatever the Palestinians agree to, and so did Rafsanjani before him.
Tatchell thinks this is an extraordinary shift because the media tends to hype Iran's position on foreign policy matters, and so misses the nuances. However, Tatchell still buys into the framing that Israel's "right to exist" is at issue -- no, its the Palestinians' "Right to Exist" which is endangered, by the Israeli demand for a "Right to Ethnically-Cleanse" them. So lets get that straight and stop always portraying Israel as the victim.
And anyway, the Israelis killed off the two-state solution long ago. They want one state -- a Jewish state in which Palestinians are either dead or gone.
Iran accepts and recognizes the state of Israel. Iran allows El Al airlines to fly to and from Iran. Iran informs its citizens that he Holocaust did indeed occur and is something that all people, everywhere, must never forget. Israel and Iran begin a middle east basketball and football league which accepts all middle eastern countries. Israeli doctors help in Iran hospitals and Iran admits the Salk vaccine was invented by a Jew. Iran and Israel begin student exchanges and tourism between the two countries. A peace treaty is signed and they live in peace and harmony.......
....................................................................Iran's President greets Jews and Israelis inviting them to Iran and permitting Iranian Jews to return to Iran and run for public office, attend Universities, build Synagogues, allow women freedoms never permitted before, institute a democracy with full freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to assemble.........time to wake up, darn it
(Meanwhile Israel continues killing and murdering and stealing from Palestinians)

"... a Jewish state in which Palestinians are either dead or gone" or too small in population to be effective.

The illegal, immoral, barbaric, and despicable country by the name of Israel would never agree to respect and acknowledge the rights of innocent Palestinians. Be rest assured, the Zionist regime's fall and disintegration is not too far from happening.
