Why Zimbabwe, not Uzbekistan?

So as usual, BBC has wall-to-wall coverage of the situation in Zimbabwe ... This is going on for a week now, with barely a mention of Iraq in comparison.

I don't know much about the issues there but I have to wonder: why this emphasis on Zimbabwe, but not say, Uzbekistan?  I mean, Mugabe is hardly the only "strongman" who has fixed elections.

But you never hear about Uzbekistan... Except in Craig Murray's blog. Gee, wonder why..
