Today is the 2nd anniversay of the "Yellow badges for Jews" disinformation campaign against Iran, started by NeoCon cabalist Amir Taheri in the National Post, and perpetuated by the Simon Weisenthal Center which claimed (falsely) to have "confirmed" the story.

The National Post eventually published a retraction but the New York Post, the New York Sun, the Washington Times, and the American Jewish Congress all ran with the story -- some even after it had been debunked. CBSNews didn't run with the story -- which raises the question: If blogger with Taylor Marsh and CBS could bother to check the story, why didn't other papers? Or were they part of the disinformation campaign?
Typical of the NeoCons, having been caught in a lie, Taheri simply sticks by it as seen in his article posted by the Benador Associates PR firm.
Read also Jim Lobe's article.
And what happened to Taheri after this fiasco? He was invited to brief British PM Blair, as a representative of the Iranian "opposition".
And this was just one example of propaganda operations.
[As a sidenote, I think it is important to have these sorts of "anniversary" posts because people need to remember the historical context of today's news items. We all supposedly have a 20-minute attention span, and tend to forget important facts -- especially when faced with a 24-hour news cycle that is constantly churning out hype. So, I will be making a particular effort to follow-up on past matters. ]

Taheri is a zionist thug, well-paid by his masters to legitimize an imperial war against Iran by spreading and fabricating countless lies. He was a collaborator with the secret police of the ex Shah of Iran. He is masterfully serving the neocons and the Bush cabal.
