There's a new poll which says only 18 percent of American would support military action against Iran.
The vast majority of people in the United States think the best way to persuade Iran to drop its nuclear aspirations is by relying on economic and diplomatic efforts, according to a poll by Gallup released by USA Today. 73 per cent of respondents share this opinion, while 18 per cent think it would be best to take military action against Iran.
Contrast this poll to the previous poll which said that 52% would support the use of force.
And then compare that to the other recent poll which said only 21% of Americans would support the use of force.
All this should tell you something about the "science" of polling.
